24/06 Tory island

DUNLEWY - TORY ISLAND

The plan for today concerns a tour in one of the Ireland's most beautiful islands. I get up at 8 for breakfast and to prepare some hamburgers to take with me for lunch. The ferry leaves at 11:30 from Magheroarty pier, 11km far from Dunlewy but. There are no big climbs on the way so i could take it slowly and enjoy the view of the beaches and town scattered all over the coastline. 

Tory island it is one on the must see Co. Donegal. It costal reef is absolutely stunning!

The only pictures of the day are these two. Basically it has been raining for two days in a row. I couldn't even see Mount Errigal and i'm just in front of it!

Today no pitures peoples. I left The hostel around 9, it had just started to rain but was just a light shower so i left the hostel anyway, hoping it would stop soon, but i was wrong. I have cycled for nearly 5 hours under the rain, the panniers weren't waterproof, well the all have a thin rain cover but it doesn't do much againt floods, so my clothes, my gears, my camera, my wallet, my everythink was from wet to soaked!

I arrived at the Errigal hostel, just in front of mount Errigal, in poor conditions. Thanks God the hostel was amazing: they give you milk, tea, coffe, butter, jam and bread all day long so i had, at least, a nice worm welcome.

One thing is sure: Sligo is not going to be my favorite town. Beside Benbulben mountains nothing special. So around 9:30 i'm already cycling.

16/06 Car tour

CAR TOUR 

CLIFDEN-WESPORT-NEWPORT-ACHILL ISLAND

We leave at 9:30 from Clifden. In the meantime i found a bed at the hostel so i could leave the bike with all the bags there.
